  • Add the olive oil and turkey sausage to a medium pot over medium heat. Cook, breaking the turkey up with a spoon, until it is fully cooked through, about 10 minutes.
  • Once the sausage is cooked, add the onion, mushrooms and bell pepper, stirring to combine. Continue to cook until the vegetables have softened, about 10 minutes.
  • Once the vegetables have softened, about 5 minutes, add the marinara sauce to the pot. Stir to combine and then remove from the heat.
  • Spread the marinara mixture onto the bottom of an oven-safe serving bowl. Layer the bowl with cheese and toppings of your choice. Then, either microwave each bowl for 1 minute or bake them at 350 for 5 minutes until the cheese melts and serve.

Notes

Use any jarred marinara sauce you like for this recipe, or use my homemade Spicy Marinara Sauce.
